Provincial Dental Fee guide

We follow BCDA Fee Guide. What is BCDA Fee Guide?

The British Columbia Dental Association (BCDA) provides an annual suggested fee guide for dentists in BC. It outlines different dental codes and descriptors to specific dental treatment. It also provides suggested fees that serve as a guide.

We strive to provide the best care possible while keeping the cost reasonable for our patients.

Insurance

Latimer Dental & Implant direct bills all dental insurance providers. Our team is happy to explain how your specific dental benefits apply to the cost of treatment. As a courtesy to our patients, we will collect your estimated co-payment at the time of service, then file a claim to your insurance company on your behalf. If there is any balance remaining, we’ll contact you for final payment.

We believe in the quality of our work and want to pass that confidence to you. Our lifetime warranty ensures you that if something breaks, we’ll fix it at no cost to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I choose a fee-for-service dentist?

Being a fee-for-service practice is a benefit to our patients. Dental offices that work as a “preferred provider” with an insurance company agree to a 10-45% fee reduction for every procedure they perform. That means the dentist must do more procedures to make up for the fee difference. Unfortunately, this often leads to a dentist over-recommending treatments that you don’t necessarily need.

How much will it cost?

Our team will always provide you with an estimated cost before your treatment. At that time, we can also discuss your payment options, based on your situation. For those with dental insurance, we don’t always know in advance what services (if any) your insurance company will cover. The insurance company provides estimates on procedures they will cover based on your plan. We’ll work with you to make sure you feel comfortable with this estimation.
